it was explained to me, if i wanted to receive the great benefits of this program and live as i had seen others livin in this program, i must learn the healthy behavioral habit of givin back instead of always livin the unhealthy, self-centered, behavior, of takin. i had been given love by people who really didnt know me but had been through similar struggles. i needed to learn to give love back to them and do as they had done me, when i 1st came into the rooms. if i wanted to live by the direction of God and be more like Him then i should try to do as, i perceive, He would do. this meant givin up some of my time and efforts fer the good of others, just as others had done fer me. i have done this to the best of my ability and today i do receive the great benefits i had seen others receivin in their lives when i put forth the action i need to. i can remember several times bein down while in recovery, and by merely mentionin it in a meetin, or a group of close friends in recovery, receivin assistance with whatever problem i was havin. it may not have been the end to the specific situation, but it did help me. as i have watched others in this thing we do, their quality actions have taught me to do the same. be there fer someone who is in need. they have shown me how to love another by simple action. by usin the experience i gain, i too can contribute the same quality action. 1 day @ a time…
