Much is written about how addiction affects men and women differently, but little is discussed about how recovery affects each. Nicola from www.iloverecovery.com and Paul from www.buzzkillpod.com converse about recovery and how it can differ in the two sexes. Physical, emotional, mental, societal, sexual and psychological aspects can affect how men and women approach recovery.

    • Perfect, This has been a notice for me also, I am living a life of vulnerability, starting over, and not doing the full life change over, it’s scary, I run a group on awareness, I consider myself in recovery from a 26 year long struggle from being defined by others. Because of medication, I realize now we all stigmatize each other. So may of these things are out of the norm. but it’s God’s work, Bonding, reminds me of the book that I am reading now, The Road Less Traveled, a good read on a Dr’s point of view on how therapy works, falling in love in not a intimacy way but in a way to help them, as we go back to our child hood, interesting. With God by us, I pray that he brings me to and we can talk about relationships, marriage, and losing what we had, it’s usually not good to go back to loved ones’ as well in recovery together, I feel like it’s a miracle, and mind change is learning ones self , slip , slide and away, like butter had been mention, I love this talk, I have been questioning this, i am changing and cannot expect someone to just jump on and say, Hey , this is the way, no, they need to also find their way, Family, with kids, many times, knowing where those kids are going , a mom’s bond, wow, there is no such thing as perfect, Thank you so much for this, lol to fantastic to men bringing up kids, society is changing, and I am so looking forward to how things unfold with Recovering together from life, we need to mingle i feel like for us to all understand the world alone. I think it is a matter of the world coming together, recover from any addiction. Wow 90%, i keep hearing childhood, 26 years of counseling and counting to realize I am me. at the end of the day, we are us at the end of the day. I pray for all this talk to bring up more females coming forward, Thank you for the talk.
