We are honored to announce that the White House Director of National Drug Control Policy, Michael Botticelli will be Live and in Person on InTheRooms.com, June 6, at 8:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM PT. Director Botticelli will speak about the state of addiction in America today as well as other hot topics followed by a live questions and answers forum.

Our dear friend and colleague Tommy Rosen, founder of Recovery 2.0, will moderate this very special ITR Town Hall event.

As Director of National Drug Control Policy, Mr. Botticelli leads the Obama Administration’s drug policy efforts, which are based on a balanced public health and public safety approach. The Administration has advanced historic drug policy reforms and innovations in prevention, criminal justice, treatment, and recovery.

Mr. Botticelli has been in long-term recovery for more than 26 years. He has encouraged the millions of Americans in recovery today to make their voices heard and confront the stigma associated with substance use disorders, which often keeps individuals from seeking and receiving treatment.

Please put this your calendar today and let your voice be heard. Get your questions prepared to ask him personally. This is an incredible opportunity to hear the latest recovery information, directly from the White House. Don’t miss it!

See you there!

As they tell us ITRs, “more will be revealed” with almost 34 years of recovery I am seeing more and more. The picture looks glum. This isn’t a new problem its an over 50 year problem only now with SM are we able to share. Some of the insanity from our gov I would like to ask. If you are concerned about addiction why cut people with real chronic pain off the pain meds after years? Not abusers just chronic pain? People have been pushed to the streets to get on methadone or obtain illegal drugs to function. This is not a solution. I have seen boomers get on methadone who are not drug addicts just in chronic pain because of new FDA laws, cutting them off opioids that they never abused. My theory is so that more people become infected with hep C so that big pharma can make more money. Prisons make money from addiction, Medicaid will not pay for rehab. Its a viscous cycle that is designed to make big pharma money, not help those who want or need help.
