the symbol of the circle and the triangle probably would not mean much to me if i was not practicin the spiritual principles of recovery. havin succumb to the power of alcohol and admitted and surrendered to my alcoholism, this symbol of the legacies of the program i choose to follow for a life managin my alcoholism, a circle enclosin a triangle, means much to me. the circle stands for the whole world of recovery, and the triangle stands for the 3 legacies of recovery, unity, and service. ive been blessed to have found freedom from my fatal obsession of alcoholism. the points of each help support me in my practice of rebukin my disease. recovery offers me a means to live through and manage my alcoholism. unity provides a fellowship with which to lean on when im weak from the battle. and service helps to move me away from self so i may live toward better purpose. all this has turned me away from self-will enablin me to manage a life of positive success and healthy prosperity. 1 day @ a time...
