i am not immune to becomin overwhelmed by my feels. ive found that when i allow myself to get lost in these feelins, i become oblivious to the people around me. this leads to a cycle of self-inflicted distress, resultin in procrastination, avoidance, and behaviors that undermine my recovery progress. i often overlook the blessins ive gained through my recovery journey and fail to recognize the positive experiences that continue to unfold. recovery has shown me that there are constructive ways to move forward and embrace life anew. i dont need to dismiss the feelins of stress, pain, or perceived threats; instead, i should apply the lessons from my recovery to mitigate their impact. to combat the urge to dwell in self-pity, i must engage in positive actions. the holistic effects of CBT taught through the twelve spiritual principles of recovery like writin a gratitude list and keepin a record of the good that has come from my recovery and actively helpin others will help me steer clear of the whiskey jug. its essential for me to maintain open communication with my HP, my sponsor, and trusted friends in recovery. by prioritizin my recovery, i get to diminish the unhealthy allure of self-pity. 1 day @ a time…
