i find that i am no longer hesitant to discuss my experiences with emotional and spiritual health (E.S.H.) with those who are not in recovery. over time, i have shed much of the unhealthy self-consciousness that once held me back, thanks to my journey in recovery. however, i want to clarify that i do not share every detail of my life with everyone i meet. there are specific events and feelins that i reserve for discussions with my sponsor or other trusted friends within the recovery community. through the principles of honesty, hope, faith, courage, and humility, i have come to understand the importance of only sharin my most challengin experiences with those who would understand. blamin others for my discomfort only breeds resentment within me. the big book emphasizes that if somethin bothers me, it is a reflection of my own issues rather than the actions of others. therefore, i must engage in a personal moral inventory to uncover the root of my feelins. ultimately, with respect for others, i recognize that others are free to act as they wish, provided their actions do not directly impact my well-bein. 1 day @ a time…
