this program, bein somethin that is held within the hearts of those who practice its spiritual principles, is a blessed thing. its not somethin thats main focus is to be successful financially or economically. its goal is to help those who find they can no longer help themselves. for sure it is known, but as an organization, it relies on its members to move forward with the changin times. please note, these are only opinions of my own. what makes the program unique to me, is that it is always there for me. no matter how much i get from it, i find i can always give it right back. as i practice gettin rid of my fears, resentments, inferiority complexes, negative points of view, self-centeredness, criticism of others, over-sensitiveness, inner conflicts, the habits of procrastination, undisciplined sex, wastin money, boredom, false perfectionism, jealousy, and envy of others. i am thankful that my HP has given me the presence of, and peace of, mind, to show others how they too can live these freedoms. there are not many programs that offer so much and only ask in return to give back what ya have received. as i continue to live with eyes of faith, i get to see Gods care and purpose everywhere. what this thing we do fills my mind, body, and soul with, is show me how to be thankful, and show that thankfulness through gratitude. if it is noticed by others then maybe, ive done right by the program of recovery from a life of misery. what i must do then is continue to give it away. i get to give and get a heart filled with the spirit of thankfulness. when i express my thanks, however fumblin, to my HP or to another human bein, i am not only bein gracious, but i am also givin myself the greatest reward of all, a thankful heart. recovery, ive discovered that, it is impossible to give without receivin or receive without givin. i get to get it, give it, and grow in it. insurin immunity from another drink, by sharin my experience, strength, and hope, i am just one more thankful sober person offerin newcomers suggestions on recovery. 1 day @ a time...
