these last three steps help me to enhance the spiritual experience i get to live havin had a spiritual awakenin as a result of them. step 11s spiritual concept of the continued growth of my spiritual awakenin helps me to sure up the foundation i have built with my HP, with others, and with myself. it encourages me to continue to live the concepts learned from the prior 10 in my life daily, moment by moment. with initiative and ambition i am free to achieve creative urgins that allow me to do things i never could before my recovery began. by livin and practicin the daily disciplines of self-examination, meditation, and prayer, livin in all respects the way i believe God wants me to live, with regard to other people and myself, i get to feel the by-product of livin the right kind of life with a true inner happiness that flows outward. by practicin a daily discipline with a belief in somethin that cannot ever be fully explained with words, i get to sense the powerful knowledge that as i walk with Him, i am safe. as i walk this new path, even though im not certain where it will lead, even as it may seem that it isnt any easier to walk than the old path while out doin my dirt, im filled with the hope that it will lead to continued freedom and happiness. i dont have to be ashamed if i run into struggle, i have been given confidence in solvin problems which used to baffle me, with solutions that may not be the way i want them, but as i practice honesty, open-mindedness, willingness, surrender, acceptance, and tolerance, the strength needed that i gain from practicin a daily discipline, are simply put to rest. avoidance is not the key; surrender opens the door. my obsessions for destructive thinkin or natural instinct may cry out against the idea of personal powerlessness, but with a mind no longer warped by unbridled total self-control or self-will, i get to live with manageability and power in my life. all because of the unshakable foundation found usin the logically related and interwoven application of self-examination, meditation, and prayer provided through daily discipline. 1 day @ a time...
