its not so much all about me today. i aint sayin i aint gonna try to take care of myself, cause i understand that if i dont, i wont get to stay sober or recovered. i wont be able to live the gift of helpin another. recovery has taught me that if i am to be effective, i must take care of, and remain responsible for, my own recovery. askin my HP to guide me through my day with prayer each mornin is an essential part of my program of recovery. equally important is the time i spend in quiet meditation awaitin His intuitive voice within to answer. it is time when i get to become spiritually aware and create a plan of action for my day ahead. when i receive what i perceive is the answer from prayer and meditation, i can then move forward with my day and work at bein of service for my HP and others. as i get away from self, movin about my day, i get to show others the power, grace, and strength of my HP. havin relieved myself of my secrets through a time of prayer and meditation i discover, at least, a modicum of peace. anxiety and depression, which may naturally arise when i perceive i have no power over a situation, is a mere opportunity for me. its why doin somethin, such as an early mornin time of prayer and meditation, is a way to restore a small portion of spiritually guided self-control, direction, awareness, and healthy sense of well-bein. with this sense, its not my place to negatively judge another, as when i do, i cut myself off from helpin them, placin me above them. i wanna walk alongside them, not before or after, bein useful and effective. as i gain understandin of my HPs will for me throughout my day, i get to remain vulnerable and free to His proddin. i neednt worry so much about self, or how or when i am to be of service, but i must remain open to it. i get to own and be responsible for my actions while livin out His will for me. 1 day @ a time...
