i was able to hear a guy talk last night. he spoke of things that i could relate to. he talked about his inability to forgive, his selfishness, loneliness, anger, and mistrust. all things i am akin to. he showed me that the story i have, can be heard by others, to help them as well, when i am humble enough to tell it. in a sense, my past is a buildin block of my future. there is nothin more i love doin in recovery than sharin my experience, strength, and hope with another who feels they may be an alcoholic just as i am. though the tragic events of my life which led me to recovery are not easy to share, i know how necessary they are in helpin another and myself. i always ask when sharin with another that they try not to contrast, but relate, or identify, some of the things they may find in my past that may have been similar to theirs. today i know and understand the value of those darkest days i lived. there are many things i am not very proud of but know that if they wouldnt have happened for me, i would not be where i am today. trustin the faith i have in my HPs will bein done in my life, i share these events of my life. i have hope, love, forgiveness, peace, and serenity in my life today because of the treasure called my experience. 1 day @ a time…
