it is my responsibility to remain sober and in recovery, nobody elses. if people know i have had troubles with alcohol in the past and see that i have been able to overcome it, it shows them the message i carry. it is a practice of attraction rather than promotion. if they ask how i was able to stop drinkin and turn my life around, i share it with them, if they dont care to know, i dont. my sponsor taught me to stick close to the traditions of what makes this a wonderful thing we do. he told me they not only work fer the group, but fer its individuals as well. so, it is my responsibility to stay sober and to carry the message to others who may need or want it if they so desire to hear it. i learned, fer me to not only have the need, but the want, to quit my drinkin was the only requirement to try this thing we do. i still carry this same desire today. it is with me each mornin i awaken. it is a catalyst fer further daily action to start my day. prayer and meditation soon follow. i am grateful fer this small idea and concept of true tolerance toward myself. it is there, after i have gained true tolerance fer myself, i can start to gain the ability of true tolerance toward others. 1 day @ a time…
