Opioid addiction continues to be a significant problem throughout the United States, leading to devastating consequences for far too many people. It’s critical for any person who is struggling with opioid use disorder to receive professional intervention, and that’s exactly what we provide at Ft. Lauderdale Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC). Our outpatient treatment center serves adults age 18 and older who are living with an addiction to heroin, prescription painkillers, or other opioids. We provide help through medication-assisted treatment (MAT), a research-backed approach that combines prescription medication with a counseling component. The medications used in MAT help patients address the physical symptoms associated with withdrawal, while the therapy side gives them a chance to focus on improving the behavioral, social, and emotional aspects of their lives.
