Opioid addiction continues to be a public health crisis in the United States, affecting a staggering number of individuals and families across the nation. Loganville Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) is committed to helping adults find recovery from addictions to opioids like prescription painkillers and heroin. At our center, we use medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to support our patients in this process. This time-tested method involves the use of both medication and counseling, a combination that offers a whole-person approach to treatment. The medications people take as part of a MAT program can address the physical aspects of opioid addiction by easing distressing cravings and withdrawal symptoms. By participating in counseling, people can address the emotional, behavioral, and social aspects of opioid addiction by getting to the root of their struggles with opioid abuse and making crucial behavioral and lifestyle changes.
