Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)

Pittsburgh Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) is a premier provider of medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults who have addictions to opioids. Combining the use of prescription medication and counseling services, MAT offers a truly comprehensive approach to opioid addiction treatment. There are many methadone clinics that only offer prescriptions for one type of medication, but our CTC can prescribe buprenorphine, Suboxone, naltrexone, and methadone. These medications are FDA-approved and help reduce the uncomfortable symptoms of withdrawal. In addition to receiving the medication that will be of most benefit to them, patients at our treatment center can also participate in individual and group counseling. During individual therapy, patients meet one-on-one with a counselor to discuss their progress in treatment and work through any challenges they may be facing. In group therapy, patients have the opportunity to come together with other individuals who may have struggled with similar experiences. This can offer much-needed support and encouragement during the healing process.
