The Refuge, A Healing Place is a premier provider of residential treatment for adults who are suffering from posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), eating disorders, depression, addictions, and co-occurring concerns. Located on 96 acres in the Ocala National Forest in Ocklawaha, Florida, our campus offers a serene setting where clients can fully focus on the therapeutic process. We utilize a mixture of evidence-based therapies and experiential and body-based approaches in the care we deliver. All aspects of the treatment process are individualized based on each client’s needs and may include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, equine therapy, expressive art therapy, narrative exposure therapy, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing. We also offer trauma-informed yoga, mindfulness training, time for meditation, massage therapy, and breathwork training.
