Located in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, Woonsocket Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) provides medication-assisted treatment for adults who are struggling with opioid addictions. Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) incorporates the use of prescription medication and therapy, which has proved to be beneficial as people begin the recovery process. At our treatment center, we offer individual therapy, group therapy, and prescriptions for methadone. Methadone is an FDA-approved medication that is safe and effective when administered and monitored by a professional. Methadone alleviates the symptoms of withdrawal, which can ultimately help prevent a person from returning to drug use. Individual and group therapy complement the use of methadone by giving patients time to reflect on their experiences both in a one-on-one setting with a counselor and in a group setting with peers who may have shared similar struggles.
