Moderator/Facilitator: Kathy V. Russell

About the Meeting:

The “Women Warriors” group offers all of us a safe place to share honest and compassionate recovery. You can just listen if you prefer to remain anonymous, or come on up and say hello! The intimacy we experience is healing and life-altering. We become authentic with one another in the diversity of global 12 Step recovery communities all over the world.

About the Facilitator: Kathy V. Russell

Hello! My name is Kathy, and I’m a woman in long-term recovery of 32 years, “One Day at a Time”. I don’t drink, and I go to meetings. I’ve been recovering in several fellowships since my recovery journey began. I have a sponsor, and I (in turn) actively sponsor and coach women in recovery. My sober life led me to work harder for a desired education. That meant starting with my GED certification in 1994 at the age of 37, and then it meant studying clinical nutrition at a college level.

I launched my New York Nutritional Consulting office in 2008, a service which offers group workshops and one-on-one support. With continued passion, I teach, coach and write about holistic health. I focus especially on the nutrient-dense foods which feed and honor both the physical and mental needs of people in recovery. I first began writing articles for In The Rooms blog, I Love Recovery, in 2016, and since then I’ve become super grateful to have found In The Rooms. After my first live meeting in 2014, I was hooked! Its meetings and community have enhanced and enriched my sobriety, and they offer us all valuable, life-saving connections.

Join us on Mondays at 7 PM!
