About the Meeting:

Abstinence and early recovery from the most obvious forms of addiction are a powerful and necessary first step. But for most of us, that’s not enough to live the truly happy, healthy, and high-energy life we dream of.  Taking care of our bodies and brains in gentle and effective ways elevates our daily experience so we can truly shine. It can feel overwhelming to figure out where to begin, and hard to know who to trust for accurate information and guidance.

If you are in recovery but still deal with:

  • low energy and fatigue
  • anxiety, stress, or depression
  • weight management
  • sugar or food addiction
  • loneliness and isolation
  • gut problems, bloating, cramping, and too much time in the toilet
  • recent health challenges for yourself or your loved ones that bring up grief, loss, and concerns about what you can do to feel empowered and appreciative right now
  • chronic disease such as Type 2 Diabetes, liver disease, or heart disease that makes it more challenging to enjoy life one day at a time

….then this group is for you.

Each week we delve into a nutrition or wellness topic that relates to detox, early sobriety, or long term recovery. Topics support physical, emotional, or mental health and include the research-based information you need to know, and simple, achievable action tips to make positive changes that stick. This approach includes holistic and alternative approaches that actually work, and taps into the wisdom of your own body and experience to make change. About the Facilitator:

Led by Lulu Cook, credentialed dietitian, health coach, author, and counsellor. Lulu has been in the rooms for 20 years and understands the importance of recovery as a powerful foundation to physical and mental health. She offers evidence-based information and practical, real world strategies to help you build on that foundation.
