In The Rooms to Hold Online Video Meeting for Londoners 3

London, England – In The Rooms will hold a special online video 12-Step Meeting especially for Londoners on August 10, 2011 at 8:00 PM London time (that’s 3:00 PM Eastern time). The meeting is being held in solidarity with our brothers and sisters across the pond who do not feel safe walking the streets of London during these riotous times. The link for that video meeting is: http://intherooms.com/livemeetings/view

In the last week, there have been riots over the shooting death of local hoodlum, Mark Duggan, who was allegedly shot and killed by police during an attempted arrest. The police had alleged that Duggan fired first. However, the Independent Police Complaints Commission has determined that Duggan did not fire first and, in fact, the gun in his posession had not been recently fired at all. Police had alleged that Duggan fired and hit a police officer who was saved by his police radio. The commission has determined that the round that hit that radio was from a Heckler & Koch firearm which was police issued.

As I type this, the streets are not safe to walk. Arson, thievery, bottle and rock throwing are all the norm right now in the English capital city. As shown in the disturbing video below, the police are seen retreating from the angry crowds instead of engaging them.

While this may tactically be the best idea, it can do nothing but concern law-abiding citizen’s who live in the affected area. It is with this thought in mind, that In The Rooms is reaching out to those who are part of our fellowship to provide them with a proper meeting to attend during this time of trouble.
