listenin was somethin i had to learn how to do when i came into the program. i always thought i was the 1 who had the most important thing to say. sure, i would hear people fer a min or 2, but i never took the time to listen. i can remember when i 1st came in it was suggested to me that i not talk but sit and not only hear what people had to say but listen to what they had to say. listenin, i was told, would help me to decide what i needed to do to straighten out my life. listenin to people and then watchin to see what they would do after they spoke would teach me what i could use in my life to better it. this was a great learnin tool that i still use today. 1 day @ a time...
