my daily reflections…

its a truly wonderful that this thing we do is an ALL-inclusive program. i dont know where i would be today if it wasnt. when i first came into the rooms i had such a low self-image and just loathed myself to the point that i was embarrassed of anythin i did. it didnt matter, how i looked, how i spoke, my current profession (not that i had a job or anythin), and of the way i conducted myself. the open, nonjudgmental, arms of those who had come in before me gave me the self-assurance, after time had passed, that it was ok fer me to be me. this was more than that though; it gave me the confidence i could make recovery work in my life no matter my current or past circumstances. the concepts brought forth by the fore founders of this thing we do, remained at the core of its spiritual principles, and this made it an easy transition fer me as long as i kept my thinkin out of the way. today, i continue to work hard at not lettin my ego and pride get in the way of anybodys, mine included, success in makin recovery work. 1 day @ a time…
