my daily reflections…

my alcoholism is a strong adversary, it doesnt rest. all i can do to contain it is manage it by askin my HP to help me remove it from my life by takin the daily action necessary laid out through the 12 spiritual principles. i have watched people with the quality of recovery, i want to have myself, succeed in this thing we do. i have watched the activities they do and the activities they dont. one of the key elements they have adopted in their lives is the principle, they cannot drink again, because theyve realized their way of thinkin had brought em to their knees, they admitted complete defeat. i have also surrendered and accepted this fact. i remember thinkin alcohol could in no way be too powerful fer me, hey man, my name is joel, i got this shit. until i was ready to admit i was powerless over people, places, and things, i could have never moved forward with a life of moderate peace within. 1 day @ a time...
