i get to live a certain liberation and strength today. though i may still struggle with surrender, the surrender i learned in my early recovery from utter defeat, helps me with the surrender i must practice today. as i get to live my humanness im still a person who lives by self-will to an extent. usin what ive learned through the processes of step 1 through 9, i get to accept and surrender so i may tolerate the situations or circumstances with which i may struggle. ive learned through the years of my recovery how powerless i truly am over much, if not all, of the events that happen around me. what i do have control over is me, my behavior and thinkin. the powerlessness i understand i have today is a bedrock upon which i get to live a relatively happy and purposeful life. fer it is with this understandin, i get to continue to build upon my recovery, expandin my spiritual awareness, development, and experience. there has been, and is, victory characterized by surrender. 1 day @ a time...
