freedom! somethin i always thought i had before my recovery began, and to a certain respect i thought i did. i reckon i can say that coz through personal inventory i learned how my priorities and goals were different than the ones i reshaped or changed in my recovery. as unhealthy as those priorities and goals were back in the days of doin my dirt, i could not realize em as such coz of the blindness caused by my alcoholism. through personal inventory i learned just how my alcoholism had driven me to such a state of bewilderment; i could not see the reality of truth from the false. personal inventory, much conference with my sponsor, and other trusted friends in recovery, allowed me to see where, and how, i could become willin to set new priorities and goals which were healthy and more meaningful than the ones i had while out doin my dirt. i learned i did not have to carry the weight of em, i could turn em over to my HP once i acknowledged and addressed em. i became able to live by a different set of genuine and virtuous principles which provide better opportunity and privilege. 1 day @ a time...
