one of the best expressions i can do to preserve & ensure the strength and survival of any recovery program is to remain sober and live & practice my personal program of recovery. when i do this, i get to become an active member of the fellowship of recovery. by remainin humble with the desire to be a part of a group, rather than over or under it, i get to build relationships that hold within them confidence & trust so we can work toward our efforts to remain livin a life of sobriety and recovery together. keepin a focus upon recovery and its ideals & concepts, i get to contribute to the fellowship and society at large. with a state of mind that has clarity of direction and thought, i get to remain peaceable grantin me the ability to contribute to a solution rather than any pollution faced. as i continue to grow my own spiritual awareness and my experience progresses into wisdom, i get to pass on how my HP is helpin me to keep a balanced and healthy life through success or failure. it is with these demonstrations of how i live the perceived will of my HP that i build integrity within the fellowship by showin the manifestation of Him in my action & behavior. as my acceptance grows and evolves, i get to live in an imperfect world and show that recovery involves reality, not illusion. i get to expectantly live with honor, discipline, and effectiveness, not reactin to the world around me with argument, inconsistency, unreliability, and chaos; i get to exhibit the behaviors of attentiveness, reliability, and emotional support. these actions, behaviors, and ways of changed thinkin are not anythin i came up with myself, they are all learned behaviors as ive watched those who have come into the fellowship of recovery before me model them and i parrot them as i believe my HP would have me. it is their willingness to fearlessly face the unknown with hope & faith that continues to encourage me to persevere and hopefully carry forth the message of recovery helpin to secure its strength & survival as best as i can. 1 day @ a time...
