i have a responsibility to self to maintain my recovery. i know the consequences of not. i need the fellowship to help me when im strugglin. just because i may have some time in recovery, it doesnt mean that i can be still too long. and just as rest is needed to refresh and restrengthen my physical bein, so is the action that i and others do to keep recovery a focus in our lives. goin to meetins and other recoverin events is fun and nice, but i also must maintain relationships with those in recovery outside of recoverin events. i can be strong for others, as they are strong for me when i need it. call it service work, call it whatever ya want, but remainin active in recovery helps me so i may help others. doin the things recovery asks of me helps me build my emotional, psychological, behavioral, and spiritual health so i may keep the peace of mind ive become accustomed to havin. when i actively listen to others i get to learn, i get to understand how others may have gotten through a problem i may not yet have experienced. mindfulness helps me to trust my inner guidance. mindfulness helps me to follow my spiritual path. when i connect with my HP in my mornin prayer and meditation, i get to learn and know his plan for me, i get to know that i am bein led on my journey. this journey may take many forms, which ever it takes, whether i can fully trust it or not, i must blindly use the faith ive grown so i may gain wisdom and knowledge. recovery is growin from the person i used to be into a new one. its about the ploddin, patient, and humble livin that clearly shows me what is called for. it is puttin one foot in front of the other and then doin it all over again tomorrow. i aint gotta make a big scene like i used to want to. i can accept the fact that recovery is a long-term process that i get to live with others and grow alongside. remainin open-minded, i am willin to go to any length. i have to learn to listen, then listen to learn so i may hear other peoples experience and always remain teachable, its what WE do, carry the message for one another so WE dont have to suffer too long. 1 day @ a time...
