tradition 2, when i practice it as i perceive it is meant, helps me understand that i need to be a team player, listenin as my HP speaks through others so i may gain the stability this program of recovery offers. it teaches me to remain humble allowin the experience, knowledge, and wisdom, from those whove came to the rooms before me, teach me how recovery can work for me. ive learned i need the direction from old timers because of my propensity to unwittingly block my HPs intuitive word or thought. from them i learn that my arrogance, or pride, can be a block for healthy ambition. the humility they teach me lets me climb the ladder of the evolution of my recovery usin their experience as rungs, rather than steppin all over others like i may have done before my recovery began. today my ambition is a powerful spiritual attribute that enables achievement in my program of recovery. recovery teaches me to respect the difference that is essential to Gods creation when tryin to be a team player. as alcoholics who have found sobriety in this recovery program were certainly as dead as i and have used what theyve found out about themselves to become alive again, it is important that i listen and observe their actions so i may grow and get what they got. just as they were lost and are now found, i get to become found when i give them the respect they deserve. the works that i can do will only be limited by my spiritual development. i must let my spirit be in harmony with Gods spirit and theirs so i dont limit the growth i am capable of. it is how i can build relationships with others as i progress. ive learned i have to have outside help if im to know and admit the truth about myself, the help of God and another human bein demands i listen and be a team player. not only for others, but for myself as well. it is how i get the stability of honesty, hope, and later, faith. my personal recovery involves deflatin my ego so i may hear my HP. 1 day @ a time...
