my daily reflections…

i like that it doesnt take an organized meetin place and time to have a meetin. throughout my recovery ive had/attended several non-organized meetins. when i get with trusted friends in recovery, whether attendin an event outside the rooms, ridin in a car together, or even just textin, many times the spiritual awareness such communication brings, is more fulfillin to me than what i may have found or received durin an organized/scheduled meetin. it is my responsibility to make my recovery work as long as i find the spiritual principles of the steps and traditions are followed. this doesnt mean that i neglect organized/scheduled recovery meetins either, as they are an important part of my personal recovery program. in my opinion, autonomy is a blessed gift the founders of this recovery program instilled in an effort to make this program work. and it works so well. from autonomy ive learned how to be my own person too. when in the days of doin my dirt i was in fear of people findin out who i was within, today i get to live the FREEDOM autonomy brings to me individually. i get to be wrong and i get to be right. i get to fail and i get to succeed. i get to agree and i get to disagree. i get to be agreed with and i get to be disagreed with. it doesnt matter as long as i am willin to learn and use what recovery offers me to grow emotionally, psychologically, behaviorally, or spiritually toward followin my HPs will as i perceive it. this program is one of faith, hope, and charity and its the programs concept of hope that allows me these freedoms to be who i am. i aint gotta be perfect by anothers definition, i just gotta make progress as i understand my HPs will, order, harmony, supply, love, honesty, and obedience. its my interpretation, so long as ive shared it with another to be certain im not off square of the programs spiritual principles, that there is no discord in my HPs kingdom. spirituality and recovery are a choice. livin the life that requires me to follow spiritual principles is a choice. all the above happens because i make it happen, the power of bein human and livin my humanness, and it brings me freedom. this freedom is also a choice. as i progress and grow within my spiritual awakenin and experience, my whole life has change from bein hard and painful to easier and happier, more pleasant, and pain-free. autonomy, whether group or individuality, is a blessin i get to share in. all i gotta do is surrender, accept, tolerate, understand, forgive, and love. 1 day @ a time...
