recovery has taught me that livin each moment of each day as best as i can, sets me up for success. surely i can set goals and work toward attainin those goals, but i only get to attain those goals if i use what i have to make the best of a situation. whether im receivin what i feel i should get or not, usin the spiritual principles to live life with an inner happiness, joy, and freedom provides me the best for today. life aint gotta be perfect every day and sho nuff time, sometimes seems to move slowly, but as long as im makin a little bit of progress, im still movin away from the person i used to be before my recovery began. the trick sometimes for me is to not be a self-seeker, behavin and thinkin, that the only important thing or person in the world is me. those are old patterns of behavior and thinkin im tryin to live away from today. the spiritual principles help me make progress when i use them. they remove me from self. they teach me the humility i need to learn so i may become more like my HP. my fears have a way of dissolvin when i share them with others. when i use the intuition of what i perceive is my HPs will, gained through recovery, i get to live toward the promises recovery say will happen. with a better understandin of the problems that used to plague me, i get to use that information to help others and myself. i live moments in each day that help me form new, healthy, balanced, habits. the more i live the change recovery offers, the less tryin and fearsome life becomes. how i treat others helps me treat myself better and how i treat myself helps me treat others better. it is a process of progress that happens when i live life the best i can. its the willingness to set myself in the background and live a humble life. this action is one of the tells of the recovery life i live. 1 day @ a time...
