my daily reflections…

one of the many blessins of my recovery is that i have not forgotten the reasons why i continue to choose to live the change it offers. the lesson of forgiveness, with an ability to not forget, i feel, is one of the greatest blessins my HP provides me. it is with this competence, turned intelligence, turned into wisdom, i get to understand the serenity i get to live and share with others today. even as i may not have realized it in the very early days of my recovery, a short time afterward into a few months of practicin the steps, and years later havin lived and practiced what ive learned, the evidence of serenity after the storm is clear. learnin how to live, acquirin the strength it took to surrender & accept the fact of joel, it is apparent to me that i cannot think my way into sober livin, i need to live my way into sober thinkin. these ideas, not of my own conception, but brought to me through recovery by others, from my HP, have provided revolutionary changes in my life i get to live today. with pain bein the touchstone of the spiritual progress ive been fortunate to live, others around me, those ive caused harm to, and myself, do not have to suffer from my selfishness, self-centeredness, fear, or anger any longer. they, we, and i, get to live a peace of mind and serenity from the storms i used to create. i, by my very existence after the storm, get to rekindle the belief that my HP can provide a life worth livin above the level of moral squalor and the personal mismanagement of prior foolish beliefs and prideful egotism, for others. this show of confidence, honesty, open-mindedness, and willingness, is proof to others of the magnitude of the power of my HP and recovery. as i persist in takin the responsibility for my actions toward others, i get to serve others with love and humility. i get to persevere in the essentials of livin the change this thing we do has offered me to give away to others. 1 day @ a time...
