when i meditate i gain an opportunity to regulate my responses to stressful situations. i bring my mind and body to a state of relaxed attention that enables me to achieve less rigid thinkin patterns. it is a time when i can effectively rewire my brain to healthy patterns of thought. i get to use the more sophisticated thought processes like introspection and abstract thinkin. i grow a better workin memory and become better in executive decision-makin. i essentially affect cognitive skills and mental capacity. this rewirin, with times of quiet meditation, actually changes the structure and function of my brain. the effects of meditation on my brain are profound and impactful for my overall health and well-bein. it is a practice in consistency, presence of mind, and intention which helps me get the most out of meditation. these are just a few of the physical benefits of meditation, but there is far more. as mentioned prior, meditation helps me emotionally as well. i become more aware of my emotional health as i sort through emotions which i may experience. i get to find inner peace and transcend afflictions which help to heal my mind and body. meditation ignites my creativity and enables me to live unshackled by fear and worry. meditation every day makes me a happier, more productive person, who is able to process my emotions more intelligently. its a buildin of a spiritual relationship with myself and my HP that helps me in the other relationships in my life. meditation cannot cure my racin thoughts, but the breathin and mental health techniques that come with meditation are clinically proven to slow things down. it opens my train of thought so i may perceive what my HP may be tryin to help me with. when i ask Him to help me with my character assets and faults, He brings me to a place through meditation which provides me the strength within to work through upsettin situations. i could go on, but these are some of the ways meditation helps me daily. nothin grows within unless i bring it to the forefront of my mind, into the sunlight of my presence. meditation is the catalyst for a healthy, balanced, and sane life for me. 1 day @ a time...
