my daily reflections…

i can use this tradition in my personal program of recovery to live my life by. its introduced to me in step 2, and asked in steps 3, 6, and 7, to further expound my idea of my HP. im asked to try to build a relationship with my HP which can help me grow into a spiritual experience. this tradition, when i practice it as best as i can, helps me build relationships with others and myself too. it allows me to understand why the program works. first i learn how the program works through the 12 steps, then i learn why it works through the 12 traditions. this tradition as i practice it, perseverin by usin the 12 steps, enables me to move out into the world amongst my fellows usin humility, to coincide with others. when i live as i feel my HP directs me, doin as i feel is His will, i must work toward the unconditional love for another just as i believe my HP does. i dont try to live with other forces that guide me, i try to live with one force, my HP. this program of recovery allows me, through the learnin process it provides, the possibility to grow more like my HP. though i may never reach the perfection i believ my HP has, it doesnt mean that i cant live toward it. tradition 2 allows me to feel safe bein a member of a democratic society which treats its members as equals. we each may be guided by our own individual HPs, but that concept becomes an accepted truth which binds us together separate, yet equal. ive come to understand that the spiritual principles of this program have withstood the test of time. the help i get from my HP never changes. from the concept of one ultimate authority, i can have confidence in the spiritual principles because they have worked for millions just like me. when i surrender my will, keepin my feet upon the path that leads upward, i get to walk in companionship with God along the way, with my fellows. 1 day @ a time...
