my daily reflections…

its been my experience that i may not come to the conclusion on how i work a particular step as another. ive learned it doesnt matter how im able to complete a step as long as the end result is followed as it is written. for instance, when i practice the spiritual principle of spiritual awareness, i may not practice it as the guy next to me does, but yet we both come to learn how to use spiritual awareness to make our lives better. its kinda like how my sponsor and i did not have the same experiences while out doin our dirt, but the end result was that we became alcoholic. it doesnt matter when or how so much as it matters that we both, at some point, finally had the final act of desperation which brought us to the rooms. just like this mornins readin suggests, there many different books written with the same title. yet the end result was that a book was written and titled to affect the disease of alcoholism. i want to live a program of recovery that is an attraction to those who may be in need of a solution. over the years ive listened to the many different ways people have come into the rooms. each has had different problems which made them affect those around them and themselves lives miserable because of their actions and behaviors. even so, they each have made the inner declaration that they needed help, or they would soon pass into history a sad story of alcoholism. im blessed today to be a part of somethin bigger than i. i get to celebrate my life and hear my spirit sing. im grateful for the release of self-centered fear and loneliness. i get to live in the humility and great blessins recovery has brought through the many promises it offers. ive learned how haltin ego always leads to happiness. i get to be my true self through a spiritual transformation which starts within helpin me to face my emotions and live to a successful resolution of them. it doesnt matter so much how i got here, its what i do with it all that tells the story of my recovery. 1 day @ a time...
