my daily reflections…

anybody who has been in recovery for any length of time knows that attraction not promotion is a spiritual principle of this thing we do. in my daily journey through recovery i only hope to be an example of what a good life in recovery can yield. my sponsor showed me this in his action early on while workin with me. it was a lesson i needed to learn and practice, just as he did daily. he shared with me his experience which has continued to leave a lastin impression upon me. i love sharin with others when they ask what this thing we do has given me. it is only because of the grace of my HP, recovery, & others in it that i am where i am today. it is a genuinely nice feelin within when i am complimented on my action and behaviors. if they only knew the shit rollin through my head, which needs to be super filtered, i wonder what people may think of me. it is even nicer when one comes to me for the things i have done right rather than the things i have done wrong. i have learned its not so much what i say as it is what i do; it is what i liked about others in recovery when i first came into the rooms that got my attention. i personally feel that there is no better promotion than when another is attracted to me because of how i choose to behave. livin the spiritual principles are a joy to me. it makes me feel good within when i can cast a smile upon anothers face for somethin i may have done. it is even more so a pleasure, when i am able to offer empathy, condolence, understandin, forgiveness, love, and hope. i always tell em all the glory goes up top, for without Him i am nothin. 1 day @ a time…
