i have a pretty good idea of where i would be today if the message of recovery wasnt carried to me. through people of all ages, religions, and gender, others told me their story and offered me the forgiveness, hope, and love, i needed to gain recovery. i had beaten myself into such a level of self-loathin, unhealthy physical condition, and spiritual sickness that i had no other option than to let go my will. those that carried the message to me gave me the time i needed to heal. they stood together bonded in their recovery. they gave me bits of truth, hope, and impartial facts, i needed to digest slowly. they taught me how i needed to carry the message to others. my sponsor got me involved in service early in my recovery. hell man, i still get calls out of da clear blue sky to come help some group or serve on some committee for the greater cause. he suggested that i never turn down an opportunity to be of service toward the fellowship. i have learned as my time in recovery has passed, that without recovery, there would be no unity for me. that without unity, there would be no service for me. that without service, there would be no recovery for me. for to remain an active participant in my recovery and be responsible for it, i must partake in these three legacies which support the circle/fellowship. today, i get to bring somethin good into every situation, and be constructive in the way i think, speak, and act. 1 day @ a time...
