i reckon the principle of anonymity is so important now in my recovery because if i am focused on anothers or my own personality, i cannot keep a mind of the spiritual principles recovery teaches. if im practicin personalities, i sho nuff aint practicin principles. anonymity keeps my focus away from personalities and allows me to concentrate on recoverys principles. this thing we do has taught me to accept others & situations i may find myself in as they are, toleratin any flaws i may perceive. this includes my own inadequacies as well. my sponsor taught me as i worked the steps with him about character assassination and the damage it may cause others as well as myself. he explained to me that i may not have to particularly like any one person or situation i find myself in, but i have to love them or it. he taught me from the big book that love & tolerance is our code. he alluded to me that they, or the situation, may have been placed in front of me so i may practice recoverin principles & values. if i am truly livin the spiritual foundation & principles of this thing we do i will have no problem acceptin whatever it may be. usin the strength & courage i have gained from my HP via the program of recovery i can live & let live. 1 day @ a time…
