my daily reflections…

gettin sober was all i truly wanted in the beginnin of this journey. i knew if i could just stop drinkin i would be ok, the crazy ass behavior and thoughts i had would dissipate somewhat. after i had been sober for a while and had sat in the rooms i began to watch & listen to others talk about spiritual principles and how with their HPs help, they had totally turned their life around. i began to realize there was more for me to accomplish other than just sobriety. my sponsor asked what i thought i should do. i knew deep within there were things inside i needed to work on. i told him i wanted longevity from my sobriety. he suggested i start learnin and livin the steps in my life. i knew then sobriety was only the beginnin, i could not imagine what lie ahead. startin with honesty i dove into recovery with my sponsor. the desperation & fear i had, had finally met its match. as a result of these steps i have become closer with God. this spiritual journey i am on only gets better each day as long as i continue to do His will. i am lookin forward to another great year, another great spiritual walk with Him. each new day is another chance to try to make it a great life. 1 day @ a time...
