i went to a meetin one mornin in my early recovery and the topic was acceptance. there was a lot of sharin about this specific topic, which helped me to be open so i could honestly share my life with someone. one of the biggest things fer me to do when i got here was to gain acceptance of joel and share it with someone else, holdin nothin back. this was an important step in gainin what i have today. i can remember hearin a speaker early in my recovery speak of how freein and liberatin it was to do her 4th step. not only did she remark on the benefits of it alone, but she also continued sayin that tellin all of that stuff to her sponsor held even more relief. i will never forget that meetin, it was one very early in my recovery that helped me to understand the importance of doin such a task. it provided me hope to move ahead and do my own 4th and 5th step. the experience i had was much the same as hers. the healin tranquility of my bitter past bein set free as i willingly told all of these things to my sponsor was one of freedom and peace. today, i still, at times, need to do these vital steps, fer i understand today, my very life depends upon it. 1 day @ a time…
