to face my fears 1 on 1 was an important thing fer me; i had been so used to runnin from them and tryin to drink em away. it was an easy solution that worked every time fer a few hours. now i was faced with lettin em go coz this dude sittin in front of me said it worked fer him, it was how he got sober. sounded like a fight to me, lol. as i began to talk and tell my fears i felt a calm come over me and it was then easier to let it all go. today when i speak with God i still feel that calm and find it easier to do than the way i used to rid myself of em. there are times today when fear still strikes me. it can be one of the most overwhelmin feelins i can have. all of the, “what ifs,” the “buts,” and “how comes,” get to invadin my mind and it takes off in full flight creatin outcomes to situations that are more than likely gonna be alright. even after i have meditated, prayed, and let whatever it is go, i still pull it back to give it just one more, “once over.” as the readin suggest, its not until i have become willin to accept an outcome, whatever it may be, and have faith, i am truly set free of it. walkin through fear requires honesty, hope, faith, courage, integrity, and willingness fer me. usin each of the prior spiritual principles i can become willin. step 5 helps me to face my fears and put a realistic solution in place of em. 1 day @ a time…
