listenin to others is such an important part of my recovery. my sponsor told me, when you are feelin down and startin to beat yourself up, go listen to someone else fer a while. i tried this and have applied it a bazillion times when i start gettin into joel too much. it not only helps me but helps the other person even more; it makes my problems seem much less. i have the ability to keep all things within that i deem private. these secrets or conflicts, as this mornins readin describes, can be what keep me in total darkness, blocked from receivin the freedom i need to move forward. it was suggested that i write this inventory and share its results with another, someone i could have trust in, my sponsor. it was, as prior readins described, liberatin. i felt results immediately. it wasnt until i was the sponsor that i realized the total necessity of such an act, givin another freedom from their conflicts. when i listened to another i learned that what i had given to my sponsor was a true gift, a true gift of honest trust, a true gift of honest humility, a true gift of honest freedom. i then understood the meanin of belongin. i understood what it meant to be a small part of a greater whole. 1 day @ a time…
