im grateful fer this fellowship of freedom, it carries me through some of my toughest times. i used to rely heavily on alcohol to do this fer me. today i no longer need to take that avenue to find forgiveness, love, peace, and serenity. before my recovery began i didnt know a way, other than from outside sources, to find any kind of healthy release. i had been taught in my youth through religious programs about a type of deity i could rely upon, but after watchin a majority of the people who said they believed in such a bein, not follow through, left me with the idea God was just somethin to leave be. through the process of steps 1 through 5, learnin how to use honesty, gainin hope by watchin those in my early recovery use a blind faith, writin down all the problems which had brought me to the rooms, and acquirin an understandin of what had happened, through conference with my sponsor, wasnt anybodys fault but my own. with this fact-based information, how could i just continue to walk forward without, at least, a willingness to try somethin so dif than i ever had honestly tried before. the action of usin honesty, faith, and courage to build an integrity which fostered willingness to do, not merely try, somethin different, has, today given me a life i wouldve never known. 1 day@ a time...
