my daily reflections…

its almost impossible fer me not to have fear in my life, it IS an evil and corrodin thread in my life. i do not need to let it run my life though. i have been given a set of tools that truly work in rough goin. askin God to help guide me thru those times with courage and grace is the thing that saves me when my fears abound. it can be hard fer me to face my fears, sometimes they seem to come out of nowhere, im human. i can remember facin fear with anger. i could seemingly block out any other emotion by blackin out with anger to deal with fear. it was an inefficient, ineffective, and destructive way to deal with it; of course, there was ALWAYS a mess to clean up afterward. if that didnt work then surely i could drink at it and alcohol would chase it away. today usin the spiritual principles of this thing we do i can face fear head on. sure, i may be skeerd ta death when doin it, but i can walk through it with as much courage as i can muster. summonin the tools i have learned from this thing we do and walkin through it with grace is what recovery has taught me to do, comin out of fear at the other end alive and free. graspin tightly to the hand of my HP, recovery principles, and friends within this thing we do, i can, as the readin suggests, constructively deal with whatever remains. 1 day @ a time…
