my journey toward sobriety and recovery was greatly influenced by my sponsor, who consistently challenged me with thought-provokin questions that forced me to confront my ego and pride. as a newcomer in the rooms, i found this approach incredibly frustratin; it felt like an unwelcome intrusion into my already tumultuous emotions. however, i recognized that to truly escape the chaos of my past, i needed to embrace uncomfortable truths and make changes that i initially resisted. this process demanded a commitment to honesty, a practice i had to cultivate diligently. as i engaged with my sponsor and responded to his inquiries with as much sincerity as i could muster, i discovered that this early commitment to honesty paved the way for deeper levels of transparency, hope, faith, and humility in my life. by dismantlin my previously held beliefs and replacin them with healthier values, i have experienced significant personal growth, all stemmin from the simple yet powerful act of bein honest with myself and others. 1 day @ a time…
