gratitude, as i have learned from my sponsor and those who preceded me in recovery, is an essential action that requires my attention. it was not until i developed the capacity to genuinely love, surrender, accept, and tolerate my various character flaws and shortcomins that gratitude became a part of my behavior. understandin and managin these deficiencies were crucial, and through a thorough personal moral inventory, i have addressed them durin my recovery journey. once i learned to manage these aspects of myself, i found the ability to extend gratitude and love to others. it is vital that i direct these feelins toward those who have supported me most throughout this process, as they bore the brunt of my alcoholism. with their own acts of surrender, acceptance, and tolerance, they loved me even when i struggled to love myself. therefore, i must acknowledge them and make amends. today, i strive to express the gratitude and love they deserve, recognizin their significant role in my holistic emotional, behavioral, psychological, and spiritual growth durin my recovery. 1 day @ a time...
