when i step outside the confines of self, into action not dictated by ego, i must consciously ask my HP for protection and care. this is less about physical fear than about emotional vulnerability. in seekin to live by the spiritual principles, i discover that fear subsides because God stands beside me, not ahead, not behind, but with me. justice in step nine manifests when i abandon pride and ask those ive harmed how they would have me act toward them, then follow through with humility. in this surrender, amends are not simply transactions; they are offerins, of myself to others, and of myself to God. pride and ego dissolve, emotional healin begins, and i grow into the man recovery calls me to be, for God, for others, and ultimately for myself. 1 day @ a time...
