I can see from your eyes
that you’re troubled
though you won’t look
at me right in my face.
You stand at the back
and just to the left
of the people you’re
attempting to embrace.
It’s really okay to feel frightened
and wish you were else where.
You’ve made it today and that’s
noble
You’re saving your life
stay right there.
Each time you return
it gets easier,
You won’t always want to run.
Just know that your heart is important
and all of us here
We care!
