any change to improve my nature requires action on my behalf. it says in the big book, faith without works is dead. havin faith in my HP has been an evolution in my recovery. when i can allow my humanness to set aside, i get the opportunity to use the strength my HP provides. and this, as ive learned, requires the action i was speakin of above. i may not always, or ever, get what i want, however, it is most generally sufficient to my needs. it can be difficult to live by such a stringent specification as faith, but all i need to remember are the times i lived my will back in the days of doin my dirt. it is with clarity of mind i get the convenience and freedom to use the spiritual principles in my life today. it is my choice to exercise the decision which provides the rewardin experience with faith. with faith i get to have confidence in myself, i get to reach out and love - not because im empty and needy, but coz i believe in faith and can own personal oneness and value. 1 day @ a time...
