durin my recovery journey, i have engaged in honest self-reflection to confront my struggle with alcoholism. this process has illuminated pivotal moments in my life where my alcoholism left a profound impact. in those times when i couldnt envision a solution beyond my immediate grasp, a drink did help. its clear that my four DUIs were not the result of a rational mindset. thankfully, they never led to a classification of habitual offender in the eyes of the law. i now recognize the various stages of the fatal progression of my alcoholism as outlined in the Big Book. today, after what feels like many lifetimes later, i am grateful to have discovered a recovery program through Alcoholics Anonymous that truly resonates with me and provides a corrective healthy solution. 1 day @ a time…
