i share a common sentiment with many: the aversion to failure. reflectin on my past, i recognize that my most significant setback was my alcoholism. the extensive repercussions of the chaos i permitted my alcoholism to wreak on my thoughts and behavior continues to resonate in my life, even after nearly two decades of recovery. through the journey of recovery, i have managed to reclaim much of the self-respect i lost durin my battle with alcoholism. although the lessons i learned were often painful, they ultimately led to a healthy sense of humility. while i still encounter the sting of failure from time to time, it is nowhere near as intense as it was in the early days of my recovery. through this thing we do i have discovered effective strategies rooted in the spiritual principles of recovery that empower me to navigate and cope with failure when it arises. 1 day @ a time…
