this passage always evokes a sense of gratitude for the grace that my HP has granted me. the simplicity of terms such as suggestion, acceptance, personal understandin, and willingness, words that have permeated the discussions since i first walked into the rooms, has empowered me to carve my own journey toward recovery while embracin the wisdom of the twelve spiritual principles, supported through good, solid, sponsorship. my sponsor has never imposed obligations upon me; instead, he has offered gentle suggestions and encouraged me to explore my own ideas, allowin me to determine their effectiveness in my life. as long as i remain aligned with the spiritual principles, the initiative to engage with the steps is mine to investigate and navigate. i must acknowledge that not every approach i have attempted durin my recovery has yielded the desired results, and i have certainly faced my share of humblin experiences. nevertheless, the essence of my experience is that, while i may still seek guidance and support, i am not dictated to about how to maintain my sobriety and recovery. i possess the freedom to make the choices necessary for my personal journey to thrive in recovery. 1 day @ a time…
